The Mousery's Vision
We are bringers of whimsy, magic and joy through the art of tinkering, repair, and community. We believe in play, living in harmony with earth systems, being resourceful with materials, and most of all, being fun. To this end, we're building out a BUS to be used as a mobile studio and classroom for community use! We're still in the building phase, so bare with us as we get our act together. Most of our materials are reclaimed which means the build-out is taking a while, but we feel it's valuable to demonstrate what it takes to walk the resourceful path. So many connections have been made! We find ourselves reclaiming a pace of life that honors relationships, materials, beauty and care. Come visit us on 5th Street in Langley to see how it's going! We currently offer repair services, facilitated parties & events, and program administration support.
At this time, we are excited to be featuring our sister organization, HeartField Learning Collective, whose vision and mission we are very much on board with. Check them out by clicking their tab at the top of this page. We will be hosting their website until they have the funds to host their own. And you just might see our Mousery Bus at a HeartField program!

Tinkering, repair, imaginative reuse and art/whimsy for all - we envision our bus serving as hub, a studio, a mobile classroom, a space for specialized MOUSERY labs with Bin and Maisie at your school, your library or your backyard ~ AND a space for YOUR dream class to take place ~ anyWHERE you need it. We're here to share, to learn, to connect - nurturing the innovation and imagination of our youth and curating a culture of repair through a culture of care. Get to Know Us ~ The Mousery
We are Bin, Maisie and Rhyze! Maisie brings professional experience creating programs that empower children to be their unique selves and connect deeply with the earth. She is a programming wiz with an entrepreneurial spirit and a knack for working with the very young. She deeply feels the wounds of injustice, which is reflective in her passion for facilitating inclusive, safe spaces for children across a spectrum of diversities. Bin offers his joy, playfulness, creative problem-solving skills and expertise in repair as well as his compassion and ability to connect with a diversity of people. His attraction to the light and shiny side of things keeps us hopeful and inspired. Our son, Rhyze, contributes his insatiable curiosity, enthusiasm, creative innovation, and sensitivity and drive for a more equitable, connected world. In our life and in our work, we are bridgers/connectors, contributing toward a Culture of Care – care for one another, our planet, and all living and non-living things.
